2013 SL63 AMG

Internal rear reading light

Hi there,

I have just purchased a facelift W210 internal rear passenger light - the one with 2x spotlights.

Would you mind telling me which way around it faces as I have no refence?

Are the 2x buttons facing towards the front of the car, or the rear? or does anyone happen to have any pictures?

The two black switches face the front of the car. I took the picture from the front seat, facing the rear. It looks like I have one of the two front lights out!

Icon illumination?!?

Hi, I retrofitted the rear light with map/spot lights into my w203...ran the additional wire harness to the rear SAM, slot 12 and re-installed main plug. Lights work perfectly, door activation, time out, individual map lights and all lights with front overhead control panel...What I don't have is the white icons illuminating at night/with the parking to headlights. There is no illumination of orange indicating these buttons in the dark...can you please post your OEM install at night with the interior switch illumination active. Thanks!

BBW did you ever complete this retrofit and what was your result?

Hey guys,

I hope you don't mind me hijacking this thread

I'm upgrading the interior by changing all the lights to LED. The only ones I didn't manage to replace are the reading lights in this console. Can anyone help me and tell me how to remove the bulbs from the reading/map lights?
