2001 e320 check lamps

2001 e320 check lamps
I am getting a malfunction that says Lamp Defective Check lamps! But all the light seem to be working. What could this be??? It only comes on when i turn the switch for the light all the way to the right.

plate bulb or city light bulb are often overlooked ,if you can't spot it easily look at the plate bulbs one is most likely the culprit.
Btw from your long ago post on mforum about the ipod tape adapter--go to benzworld.org w210 section recent post on the beep problem by feeding the wire out the back of the head unit and it leaves the wire out of view and the door closed

It means one of your bulbs is out. Maybe the bulb is loose or the socket connection is intermittent. Could be a side marker, headlight, tail-light etc. They all come on when you rotate all the way to the right. Also look at the 2 bulbs that illuminate the license plate.

Do you turn on the fog lights when this happens? I have seen this before if there is moisture or water inside one of the front fog light housings, it can make for a bad connection.
Deassemble the housing, clean it and dry the connectors.

be sure you check *all* of the exterior lamps. interior lamps are
not part of the 'defective lamp' warning system.
►headlight (low beam H7 (or HID), high beam (H7), city light (H6W)
►front turn signal (1156)
►fog (H1)
►clearance light (2825)
►brake light above trunk (solid state assembly)
►rear turn signal (7507A)
►brake light (5007)
►license plate (6418)
►reverse light (7506)
not part of the 'defective lamp' warning system.
