The strangest cruise control problem...

The strangest cruise control problem...
G'day everyone.
I've just started experiencing the strangest problem with my 1996 E230. I bought the car recently with 102.000 k's on the clock, and its been running quite well, however just the other day, i found the cruise control started playing up.
When the headlights are off, the cruise contorl works perfectly, without any problems at all.
However when i turn on my sidelights, or headlights, or fog lights, the cruise control turns off, and won't turn back on until i turn the lights off, at which point, you guessed it, it works fine again!
Has anyone ever experienced this problem, or have any idea how to fix it. I'll probably send it back to MB later in the month to have it looked at... I have absolutely no idea what would cause this, so any assistance would be much appreciated!

NO Cruise control @ night !
it`s easy.... For safety reason she won`t let you relax..... :v
I also think that you have to check your voltage. You can buy cigaret/lighter style voltmeter and instantly monitor voltage. it`s about $7-10
If you voltage correct thatyou might check cruise control solenoid.
