I just changed the spark plugs and ignition cables on my 1997 E320 and found that after removeing the plate that sits on top of the wire and plugs I found that the screws were bearly reaching the threads. They are about a 1/4" short. I am trying to find longer screws with the right thead and head. I also found that the wireing harness is very brittle. Has nayone had this problem and what have you replaced the wireing harness? What is the cost?

My 96 has allen head bolts holding the cover on over the spark plugs. A new wiring harnes is going to cost you from the dealership...
