Ouch! They just dont flow with the body for me. They should be on a 300C not a Mercedes. This is just my 2 cents if you like them thats cool. Not trying to start anything here. Have you thought about bigger wheels?

lose the c class wheels, take off the fender vents (even if it needs bodywork), lower it a bit, and that would do it for me.

Please lose the fake fender vents... W210s were still designed by Mercedes not Chrysler...

Same here. I even saw a C5 (Corvette) recently with these on it.

Like everyone else commented, first and foremost remove those Escalade or whatever fender vents like stat! Then consider some 18" or 19" staggered wheels and suspesion. That will be an instant and positive makeover! Good luck!

The car is nice ,,is that metallic paint??I think the consensus is correct re: fender thingys. A tint works wonders,,I just added the window vents so u have many options.

- am reserving judgement on the fender vents, since their removal would
involve $$$ for painting and refinshing, so will defer to your pocket book
for now. my 2¢ is that you have a cruise/luxery model and the vents
(real or imagined) are out of place

- if you're a fan of the smooth ride, install rims no larger than 18". no
chrome here...rather polished, forged if your wallet allows. otherwise,
one of the AMG models suited for your heavier car....and not the C-class
which seems to convey a small step backwards for MB afficiandos.

- I'm not particularly impressed by slammed cars so for me, in potholed
Seattle, 1" drop is max. lower CG will assist in trackability

- Bilstein HDs for higher rebound dampening and will also help moderate
body rolls in turn transitions

- HID headlight, but not the horrible kits. you have a fine ride. stick with
quality parts...in this case HID using OEM parts, not some cut rate add ons.

- your car really has the classic appearance so unless you have some Jones
to modify, some folks like chrome accents e.g. around headlight, instrument
panel surrounds, outside door handle chrome, etc. I'm not much of a fan
of chrome shiny for the MB.

- window tint ? I went with 35% for my bordeaux exterior

- i had my seating gutted and installed E55, multicontour (air bladder) 2-tone
in place of the charcoal. sported it up...a little more than I like, but my back
and butt appreciates the new seats by 1000x

- if the rear changer annoys you, hard wire audio cassette adaptor to aux-out
for use with Ipod/MP2 player. bring wire through head unit and out the back
...and into your arm rest/console.

- .....or, trade in your Audio 30 head unit for Audio 10 for single slot CD
accessbility. this will still co-exist with your CD changer.

- i'm not a fan of illuminated sills in hot blue. so opted not to install that
but in it's place, I'm playing with electroluminescent cable which is softer
and can be somewhat color coordinated.

- front turn signal bulbs - toss the amber and insert stealth/silver coated
bulb. it removes the amber look from the top half of the headlight when
not lit ie all silver

- i like the upright hood ornament but it was a little too flashy. so i bought
a flat badge....ugh...one of the $100 ones which fits perfectly into the divot
on the hood. most of the lower prices flat badges are about 33% larger than
the divot and also doesn't sit flat. fortunately, the design of both make it
easy and quick to swap out, eg. when you're on a date and want everyone
to see the upright star (<15 sec swap out).

- stock, golf tee, door pins are ugly plastic. i got chromed plastic MB OEMs
which are straight bodied. only caveat is that the rear are flush when locked
making it impossible for rear pax to unlock on their own. I need to unlock from
center console for them to exit.

....my lunch is over. back to work now.

If you're keeping it simple with a budget - I'd get new shoes (19s preferably) for an aggressive look! i'm not a big fan of the vents too (imo). good luck!

Off topic-So raynond g did you ever finish the door sills with the electroluminescent cable? I would love to see how they look, I not feeling the blue anymore either........I think a yellowish/amber like my signature color or plain white would look best with against my desert silver ext, and biege int.

and personally I'm not diggin the vents on a benz.

too busy working right now. plus, it's freezing outside (Seattle) and I have
unheated garage. the car sills are disassembled and I'm just blue-taping
the cable around and trying out various positions, then powering up to
see how it appeals to my senses.

i was inspired by the S-class ambient lighting package and wanted to see
if this theme could be modded into the older E-class with it's straighter
lines in the interior.

i started to explore EL when I read the specs and its characteristics.
amazingly flexible, can be trimmed, intensity controllable, cold light etc.
it's also fairly inexpensive. requires a converter, however, as EL is
inherently AC driven.
