Electronic Key System
I don't prefer the electronic key system on my 96' E320.
Its a bit difficult to unlock and lock it unless your in front of the car directly.... other than that I have to like snipe it down! haha
Has anyone changed their electronic key system? I know that they changed the way it worked after the 96' model but.... any input would be nice.

'96 E320; 170K miles with extensive rust!
I installed a Viper remote starter which also controls (locks/unlocks) the doors. Much less expensive than having the stealer replace all of the potential sources of the problem; along with the billable hourly charge as they try to diagnose the source of the problem. My car is an '96 E320. Good luck!
