Changing rear bumper molding?? 97 E320
Backed into something, which cracked just the molding piece that wraps around the center of the rear bumper... It seems that companys are selling these molding on ebay and such, so I am assuming they are easy to swap out... Anyway know how? Are there clips? I took a screwdriver to peer in a little, but it didn't want to give... any insight?
This is the replacement piece I am talking about. Thanks in advance.

i just replaced mine not that long ago, and it's an easy clip-on thing. mine just came off easily, with a little knife help. i didn't buy mine from ebay, i used this website: http://market.autopartsfair.com/merc...tem-21760.html , shipping was like $6, so overall i paid $103. bad news is that the molding comes unpainted, it is a silver plastic piece, but make sure the guy that paints it matches the paint really good.
also check junk yards, they might have a used one already your color. when i checked i was unlucky, maybe you will find something. www.car-part.com

You can do the replacement without the rear bumper removed..its snapped on..use a plastic wedge to remove it..also use tape around the edge of the bumper to avoid scratching the bumper
