Can anyone give me an idea what it should cost or how much time it should take to install illuminated door sills on a 98 E?

It took me $200 to get the sills (aftermarket on ebay) and about 6 hrs of time to install all 4 sills. If you know how to put them in, you can do them in less time. Check out the E class forum on www.mbnz.org for more info. I described how to remove the sills. I also can send you a word doc I typed up to explain how to do it. Just leave respond back with your e-mail. I can send it to you then. I have a 2000 E320.

I PM'd you the first step on how to remove the existing sill plates. As for the complete instructions to install the sills, the document was too long for PM so I e-mailed it to you.

I paid around $45-50 for a set of illuminate sills (eBay). Took about an hour to install. I think I post the instruction & pix some time ago.
