Seat Belt Tension

Is there a way to adjust the tension in the seatbelt after it is released? As of lately after you remove the belt it doesn't want to retract like it should.

What's the scoop?

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Dirt,dust

and gunk.Wrap the unit in paper towels and give it a shot of crc maf cleaner that will disolve some of the gummy stuff that gets in the works.Wipe off the leaks so it does not stain the belt. This worked on my drivers side,I gambled that it would not make a mess. You need to decide if you want to give it a try.Just a short quick shot of the cleaner was all it took.

keep clear of that black w210 with the wrong wheels, okay.

Thanks, didn't think about doing this. Seems to me (if I remember correctly) that in some cars you could manually tighten the tension.
