I installed the hella OEM replacement xenon kit, it went in so easily, and works great. What fog light xenon's are you speaking of Tarik???

I like the stock hood ornament too.

Tarik,

Did you also change the roll bar? I was considering a Koni/H&R setup just like yours but unsure if I should change the roll bar at the same time. Don't know if if will be too stiff? I want to improve the cornering "floatiness" in the car with the factory 235-45/17 tires without being too harsh on the ride since there are quite a bit of poor road surfaces here in the Bay Area, CA.

Thanks in advance...

I did not change the roll bar, but I can tell you the most significant factor in improving handling was changing the rims and tire sizes. I'm currently running 265/18 in the rear, and that has shown to be a huge factor in handling.

Tarik,

Did you install the H&R/Koni at a local shop or the dealer? Did you also go for a 4-wheel alignment? How much do they charge?

oresama calm down it was all in a joking spirit I installed H&R, bilstein, and 18's on my car, and a lot of ppl would suggest what to do next or what i should change... among some nice praise as some have given here. I was just paying him a compliment and saying it looks great, no need to keep tweaking if he doesn't want to...

ok guys, some bad news. I guess the springs settled and now I'm rubbing. The front tires are noticably rubbing way to close to the fender, forming them out. Where can I go get the fenders rolled for me? Any local shops in Southern California? Also isnt this weird the tires are rubbing when I only got 18" rims and the recommended tires size? I guess each vehicle is unique in lowering etc. etc.

Try The Wheel Supply in Walnut. I've posted a reply on your thread regarding this issue.

Tarik, email me. As I've said, mine is too low in the front and will rub unless i'm extremely careful. I'd like to see pics of your front wheel clearance. It's crucial you find out what spring pads you have in there. You may just need to go to a larger spring pad.

Tarik, I'm actually in the process of doing the same upgrade w/18s and H&R springs. I found that H&R has 2 Part Numbers for the same car. One is for the V8s and the other is said to work on the 6s and 8s. (it also drops the car lower) do you remeber which P/n you used?

Use the correct h&R springs for your car, unless you have a diesel. I have H&R/Bilstein on my '99 E300, and the front is too low, because H&R stupidly grouped the E300's with the E320's, which have an alloy alum engine. The e300 is a diesel with a cast iron block, which weighs as much as a 430 engine. I'm in the process of trying to get H&R to switch my springs out. Bottom line, get the springs for your car, unless you have the diesel. In that case, get the v-8 front springs.
