Volume on Microphone
Is there any way to increase the volume of the microphone so that people on the other end can hear me better. Dealer says it can't be done. Problem is that, despite my loud voice, I've trouble being heard when using the microphone. If I use the phone itself the volume is fine.
Help??
Alas, doesn't seem to matter how I "angle" my voice. Dealer suggests that "they are all like that" and that they have loads of complaints about the microphone volume. They suggest that "it is set that way to minimize background noise inside the car". The dealer is usually quite good and very willing.
I've quite a clear speaking voice and don't slur much at all.
"Motorola now tells me that the v60c for the Mercedes will NOT be fixed. In fact they say it's not even a problem. They say Mercedes ordered it like that!!!! "
I spoke with Motorola today and they agree that it is a problem with the phones and that they do have an upgrade. They suggested I talk to the Mercedes dealer and request that the microphone be replaced in my car and that I talk to the local cell phone provider and request that the phones firmware be upgraded. They were not sure that this would fix the problem, however.
I've yet to talk to MB.

Case in point - I did a quick & dirty over the air upgrade to my V60c (needed new PRL list & opted for the general software before I thought twice).
I can no longer get at the recent calls list via COMAND.....
