Why you want a sport look on a car that isn't sporty, Im not sure.

un-informative comments? you asked for opinions, not informative posts.

Zed style, there is a way to modify a car in a tasteful way (which btw, I thought the S55 wheels fit).

These wheels resemble my spare wheel more than they do anything tasteful.
i personally prefer silver wheels to black, but i like the style of his new wheels. either way, his car looks very sleek and mean.
i would not criticize his choice of wheels TOO much, seeing as it was you that wanted to put ford wheels on your w210...

Actually, After just looking at this pic now your next mod should be the panel roof.

year 2000 model E-320 210 chassis
To me the first set of wheels look better then all black wheels...However I Do like the black on the silver look....

BUT if the rims had a silver lip to them, and not All black, I think they would stand out more than the all black rims...The all black doesn't bring the rims out.... just my opinion.

But if you like it=thats what matters most.

eXpLiCitW210 - I like the clean lines with the AMG rims but I must say your ride looks mean. I think black rims are an acquired taste …………good job.

I like the tint and ride height of your car. Are you running #1 pads throughout , What springs and Shocks are you using ? Any rub issues. I know nothing about tints so what shade /level do you have on your car, I need to get this done as well to bear the warm NC summers.

Hello there. Thanks for the comment man. I am running on H&R springs and number 1 pads i believe, with stock struts for the moment. I have no rub issues at all with the 19's , however, with the AMG's i did at times but very minimal (different offset).

I got 35% tint all the way around, i payed $220 with lifetime warranty.

looking good explicit. looks a lot better with all the black sideskirts painted silver, i have done the same thing. i think would look better with either clear or black-tinted side markers instead of the orange ones. would have been nice if the wheels had polished lip, but still looks good.
by the way the e50amg never made it to the states, and their tail lights were pre-facelift. they basically looked like an e420 sport, except faster

it never came to the american market. production year was 1996-97. for the w210, amg has made e36, e50, e55, and e60. so it's not just e55.

I like the rims, i was wondering.. how much did it cost you to have the bottom black pieces painted to match your car?

I wanted to give mine an updated look.

thanks bro

making paint to stick to plastic could be a little tricky. i don't know how excplicit did it, but i will tell you how i did it. all you need is adhesive promoter, primer, paint, and clear coat, and you can buy all these at any auto parts store, a spray can costs like $4-5. try their colors and visually match it with your car, try to match as perfectly close as possible. clean the black pieces real good (if you have applied any kind of silicone to make them shiny before, you will need to buy a silicone remover and clean them with it real good so paint will stick to plastic). after cleaning you apply the adhesive promoter (2-3x), then primer (3x), paint (3x), and clear coat (3x). wait ~20 min between coats so it dries. it doesn;t take a pro. if you mess it up you can always take it to a paint shop, my guess would be anywhere between $200-400.

Pretty much how tirona stated. I used duplicolor from Kragen auto, they have the proper silver paint. Sorry i forgot the name. Prepping the surface well will ensure a long lasting finish. If you do it yourself you'll spend about $30 bucks on materials, better than $200-400 at the shop...

I have the champaign/gold color, does the dealer sell touch up paint that i can use?

btw, have you looked into clear side reflectors for your front bumper? it will look good on your 210's color.

I think you have a right to do what you won with your car

Hey I think you have a right to do what you won with your car
If you liked you can even paint in pink color its your car so what ever you do you doing for you for your pleaser all cars are ugly if the stock so you to do some modifications on it
So eXpLiCitW210 don’t worry about comments they have there own cars so they can f*ck with it .
I like my car and I’m going to have any look an my car that I won (sport ,luxury ,etc )
Mercedes made a luxury and sport cars so it is good to modify to one or another way
It is not like modify Ferrari to a luxury style ……….
Personally I’m really prefer some think like middle not to luxury and not to sporty and I’m really happy for the guys that have a w210 and they modify the car with the taste …
Good luck guys with your modifications on your cars………………..

Not terrible looking, I would put e55 rims on it though. Paint the roof black, take off the front emblem, and take off the badges if your going to go custom! any mods to the engine?
