Check Engine light...came on in the rain
During a recent rain storm the check engine light came on in the morning and then that evening after the rain was over, the light went away. It was fine for a few days and then a second rain storm on Wednesday caused the light to be on ever since. Before I go to the dealership and get raped, what is my best option to diagnose and fix it?
2nd I had my private mechanic do the maintenance, but did not ask him to reset the service reminder. It slipped my mind and now it says something like service b past 50 days, etc. Is this another dealer issue or can he do it?
Thanks in advance....
If a store near you they will match The internet price on the #94169 obd2 scanner for about 60 bucks and you will never get reamed by the dealer again.A single use will prove more than its cost several times over.
