7/28...HaHaaa yes I did, I don't really speak like that, just thought it would be funny. Thank You Red66GT, your E class is smooth too. I like the Lorinser wheels, nice selection - can't go wrong with a black E class, elegant.

1997 W210 E320
HELP!

I have a 1997 W210 E320 Sedan. I swapped out my spring pads in the front and the back. I went 9mm in the front, and 5mm in the rear, and I think it looks great, and I didn't have to mess with the camber. It wasn't too extreme. I'd say it lowered the car maybe an inch if that. I didn't mess with the springs.

I'm upgrading my wheels to 19's. I purchased some Mercedes aftermarket wheels on Ebay. 19 8.5 in the front, and 19 9.5 in the rear. 5 x 112 with an offset of 32 in the front, and 35 in the rear.

What size tires should I put on? 235/35/19 in the front, 265/30/19 in the rear or 245/35/19 front, 275/30/19 in the rear.

I'm not too worried about the width on the rear tire. I never have people in the back seat. But is it possible to go 285?

In the front I've heard of issues with rubbing against the bolt that hangs from the suspension if your tires are too wide and you have a bad offset. So I'm concerned about this. I don't want to rub period. Ideally, I'd like to run 245's in the front, but I need an expert's opinion. I do not want to roll my lips or do any body work.

Let me know what you guys think.

I appreciate the help.

235 / 35's will be too much on 19 rims unless you roll the arches! i got 235 35 18's on w210 amg standard. id say u need to experiment with what fits or go to an alloy wheel shop. mind you if you roll the arches the car will look well cool! i seen a w210 with amg 19 rims the other week, didnt think of look at the tyre sizes. but looks really good!

good luck!

I ran 235/35/19 tires on 19x8.5 wheels on my car for a long time. no need to roll fenders. It wasn't until I started playing with spacers that I needed to roll my fenders.

No problem J, you're welcome. I had my roof wrapped in black vinyl. It's not permanent and more importantly it only cost $135. Moneys saved are moneys made

I'd love to see how it came out. Can you post some pics? Where did you get it done? Or should I ask, what kind of shop would do this kind of work? I like the look.

dont recall that you mentioned your ET. so how can you recommend or imply
that a roll is not needed w/o providing this critical specification? did i miss
the mention of ET somewhere with your set up?

forgot to mention that, et is +35 all around. And any vinyl shop can do it for you , look for the places that wrap advertisements on buses or company logos on cars, cop cars etc LoL. Everyone wanted to charge me $200-$300 before I stumbled across Downshift Graffics.

Alright, thanks! I'll see what I can find in Vegas. ET+35, I should be good to go with 235's in the front.

I have a set of 18s Monoblocks V 19x9.5/8.5 +35 and I was wondering if anyone else had this fitment and how well it worked for them..? Or has anyone gone bigger than these and made it fit, how?

I have 19x8.5/9.5 TSWs 32/35 offset but I put 10mm spacers front and 20mm rear and this is the fit with Eibach springs and #1 pads front and #2 rear. Tires are 225/35 & 235/35

Why must you Americans always have so big wheels

I have always 16" wheels on my cars, it is more comfortable, more stabile i high speed, lower fuelconsumption and not so expensive tires.

My E class have the original Elegance wheels, not so sporty but good enough for me

My car with 16" MB-original wheel.

We Americans have a thing called "style", that's why. Why have the same cookie cutter car that everyone else has?

I normally do not go over 18" on a car like this but I got a good deal on the 19". They do not look large on the car but appear to better fit the large body. As for stability, mine is MUCH more stable as speed and in curves with the current set up than factory and very little change in overall comfort. My fuel consumption has not changed and if it has my pocket nor the fuel guage have noticed. Tires are more expensive but to have the car look and drive the way I like is worth it to me.
