No Chylser

was even ever that ugly
I would like to examine the inner working of the brain that would even consider such abominations. The brain of those that installed them is too far gone to be worth looking into

Yeah I have some 19" Lowenharts and you wanna know a headache...*sigh* Personally, I think that Lowenharts are very, very soft wheels, despite their MSRP. I'll just stick with Lorinsers or similar quality. Anything else is asking for a PITA.

+1

The quality of the wheels does matter - but thats at any size.

I personally wouldnt go larger than 19's even if they were forged from Wolverine's skeleton.

some one needs to find those things and have fun with an RPG!!

in all seriousness 245/30/20 and a 275/25/20 are fine for the w210 and hve about the same diameter of 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 which is the perfect size tire for the 210 along with h&rs and #1 pads. believe me. Ive done it on 3 210s now and love it.

i would have went 20s if those tires sizes were out when I bought wheels

19's and 20's

with the same rolling diameter as oem, are still not fine nor ideal. a childs go cart (pedal) can out run and out handle them. Crap ride, poor tire wear, increased braking distance. Glad you think those are all +'s and made it perfect for you. Others prefer to drive their cars hard and handle with the best of them. Neither of which a 19 or 20 or God forbid 22's will ever do.

The saying holds true "There is an a___ for every seat". 19s and up have such a large hoop on the inside that they quickly go out of round. They do not hold true round for very long if driven much. Ask any wheel repair shop. They luv the guys with the big hoops cuz they bring plenty of business their way. Same is true about the 18s. Not as bad. Go above 17 and be careful how and where you drive. It is just aluminum folks and that is still relatively soft material.

You haven't changed a bit... You drive your wagon hard? lol Does it " handle with the best of them"?

Seriously ohlord, we have had this same conversation a few years ago. You criticise any thing that you do not like. You think 19s ride awful look stupid and ruin your car.

"with the same rolling diameter as oem, are still not fine nor ideal. a childs go cart (pedal) can out run and out handle them. Crap ride, poor tire wear, increased braking distance" Increased weight maybe? Not my iforged 3-piece wheels and michelin ps2s. Lighter than stock. But who cares anyway? A w210 is anything but a race car.

I do not condone 22's on a w210 but 20s, can be done right.

It's

not critical of what I don't like. 19's look fine done properly. But they will not handle Mercedes style driving or have the same road aplomb as an 18 on proper offset rims dropped to take advantage of the rim. And yes we do drive the wagons hard.
Plenty of W210's pulling duty on track days all over the country. Just not on 19's or 20's
to each his own though. There are those that go and those that show
I will cross you off the first camp and put you firmly ensconced in the second

Ok I'm slow I have 19s.... but when I feel the need to go fast (once or twice a week) I hop on my turbo Hayabusa. (any idea what that is capable of?) Or if i'm in the mood for for curves ZX-6R... oh I have a track day coming up at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, AL and another at Nashville Superspeedway. Just let it go. You offer alot of good info but your attitude kills me, and takes away why we are all here.

i just bought a 2001 e320 im puttin 20" floaters on it. everyone has there own opinion but 18's aND 19'S LOOK LIKE 15'S UNLESS U DROP IT. AND UNLESS U GOT A E55(THAN PUT 18'S CAUSE YOUR GONNA BE SPEEDIN AROUND TAKIN CORNERS HARD. 20'S AND 22'S DO LOOK NICE ON A E320 OR 430 DAILY DRIER WITH THE RIGHT OFFSET AND TIRE!!! THE RIDE IS NOT THAT MUCH DIFFRENT THAN 18'S. MY FRIEND HAS A 97 E420 HAD IT ON 20'S WITH NO MODS DROVE VERY GOOD NOT HARSH AT ALL.THEN HE PUT 22'S WITH 1 INCH LIFT AND IT WAS NOT A BAD RIDE AS EVERYONES THINKIN RODE JUST LIKE 20'S EXCEPT FOR U-TURNS. P.S. BUT THERS LIKE 1 POTHOLE IN FLORIDA COMPARD TO SOME PLACES LIK STATEN ISLAND,NY MORE POT HOLES THAN PEOPLE I WOULDENT GO BIGGER THAN 18 CASUE YOUR RIMS WILL BECOME OVAL INSTED ON CIRCLES

Attitude?

Come on
22's with a lift kit. And you think my attitude detracts from why we are here?
Is the reason we are here to improve the car or make it look like a circus rig?

19s and a good drop...although I would love to see a w210 done up all vip style tuckin 22s IN the fenders...spacers and lift kits on a mid sized sedan (BENZ) just my steelo.
sorry. I went with 19x 8.8 all the way around just because I was upset I couldn't fit the rears on the front (I wanted DEEPdish) MANDRUS makes the wheels I chose. Fair price, I think they look good and plus, TSW made the MANDRUS line exclusively for our cars.

mysticblu999 OFF THE HOOK !!! nice work...Wald kit? BEAUTIFUL.

And don't forget the extra weight of the bigger wheel. It will slow you down. My 18x8.5 Brabus monoblock five front wheel and tire weigh 64pds. An oem 16x7.5 ten spoke MB wheel and tire weigh about 47lbs. Big unsprung weight difference.

I made up the weight difference by taking off the fenders so I guess now I have room to grow!!!

It all comes down to looks when it comes to the bigger wheels. They dont do it for the performance, just the bling. I'm not doggin anyone, to each their own. I have 18's on my E class, and in my opinion, anything bigger, the performance just goes downhill from there.

When I first lowered my 89 Mustang GT convertible I had 16's on it and it rode pretty good. Now it's rolling on 18's as well and I need a kidney belt when I drive it. But....it does look tight and corner like it's on rails. Anything more would be hell.........

That said....mysticblue....I love your car! What ground effects kit is on there? Classy!

I thought about 19"s, as they do look great but can tell you that I went with 18"s and am glad I did. Going from the OEM 16"s to these 18"s made the ride firmer and I feel pebbles and cracks in the road. No way would I have liked the ride of 19"s or 20"s but then some are looking for the handling aspects, not a comfortable ride.

Here's my '01 with 18"s and a H&R Sport Lowering kit; I could have gotten a little more drop by using #1 spring pads instead of the OEM #2's.

...the only think I DO know is I can't type. I meant to write 19x8.5s all the way around. I really can't knock anyone eithier for thier taste/style. To be honest with you all, coincidentally I was thinking about stuffing 20s on the rear wheels. Right now I have 19x8.5 (1.25 lip) 35offset if I'm not mistaken all around. I just don't know which application would fit in a 20 -20x8.5 35offset (1.5 lip )
20x10 42offset (2.75 lip)
20x10 30 offset (2.75 lip)
....By the way ejsheltra, what's up? Hows the BRABUS muffler sale going?
