Yes the shocks SHOULD be replaced because

The travel is shorter with Short springs and WILL Bottom out

When you reuse the stock shocks ..The travel on the stock shock was at a certain area for sealing and when you lower the car the sealing area will be at a different area and MOST times the shock seal WILL leak on USED shocks...Seen it several times

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
I

wasn't pointing out the wheels,it's the air system that would be the prime set up.Some of the ultra high end cars.you push a button when going into high speed mode and they lower the car.Bugatti as an example when going 254mph
Air ride is pricey but if you got the bucks itis the way to go.

I know. But that drop is just ridiculous. We drive MBs... not Impalas. It's just comical what some people would do to their cars (me included).
