98 E-320 Accident

Don't know the details 100% yet.

1 Car Accident. Anyone have any idea how much this damage might be? The Pass. door is really scraped, new panel at least. The A Pillar has some damage, as does the roof around the area of the A pilar. (See pics)

New windshield needed as well (obviously) All in all, how much damage would this cost to repair around?

Pics are here: http://www.phillyshots.com/banned/accident/

Best bet is to go to a body shop that does lots of MB work. In the Phila area there are several. I reccommend Classic Auto Body. They have 3 locations, one near Ft Washington, another in Wayne and the main facility on West Chester Pike near Upper Darby just east of Rt 1 (Township line. They are excellent and fair and have excellent access to MB parts

Thanks. I will give them a call. On another sad note, I just moved it into the garage as I heard it may rain tonight (don't want any further damage)

As I was moving into the garage (at an angle) the right side scraped the side pilar of the garage, ouch! So now another molding is needed (for the rear pass door) and there is some paint on the fender and the rear wheel well. Nothing bad, probably just a little touch up needed.

Hi,
this seems to be a real X-mas gift ;-(
Hope the obviously hard hit A-pillar did not damaged the frame geometry. If that's was happened it could turn into something more expensive, since car needs to get an frame alignment, and than the paint job is more elaborate depending what bodyparts are moving and the paint comes off.
Good Luck to you!

Update

Just heard from the auto-body. They say around $3250 for the repairs. New windshield and door are needed, but they rest can be repaired, repainted etc.

There was no damage done to the frame of the car luckily.

Big relief for us.

What in the world happened that you've got damage from the top of the windshield pillar down to the middle of the door? Drive under an A) Jacked up pickup B) Semi trailer C) Falling tree???? Perhaps an earlier angular approach to the garage door .... at great speed?
