LED in reading light?
Hey guys, my reading light on the overhead console was burnt out. I replaced it and re-installed the plastic. Everything worked.
I then wanted to see how a white LED shined compared to the dull halogen so while I had the electronics box out, I installed a bulb. No luck, it did nothing so I re-installed the small halogen. Still no light. Tried another.. nothing.
The voltmeter now shows no power on the leads. I checked all fuses, front, middle and rear with no luck.
Any guesses?

if ur power locking mechnism is no longer working as well, that would be a fuse. if not and its just the overhead reading light only, its just not sitting in properly. i have to play around with mine beforr it works.

Did you check
the fuse with a multimeter after you pulled it?check on ohm setting for continuity.never check a fuse while installed.Power to the wires or you just checked power to the tabs that hold the bulb in?

do you have a fuse chart for the 97?

No, didnt check the fuse for power. I just checked to make sure no fuses were popped, which they were not.
I checked continuity on the tabs that hold the bulb with no luck. The other two lights up there work and all other interior features work.

I'll be watching this thread, and contributing as well. My centre console is dead except for the rear dome switch. All reading/map and courtesy lights are dead.
