HID connection question
Does anyone have a picture or a diagram of the Xenon headlight connection - from the ballast to the Xenon bulb?
It'd be better if it's the OEM Xenon headlight connection - Thanks in advance

What do you need this for? You should not mess with this cable if that is what you are planning. When igniting the bulb the voltage is about 22 000-25 000Volts.
BTW, the socket is ~the same from all manufacturers of D2R/S electronics

some info
The hella ballast used in mercedes headlights have integrated igniter. Nominal output voltage when lamp is on is 85V DC. When igniting the voltage is about 22-25kV DC.
Other manufacturers may use a separate igniter. The output voltage from the ballast to the igniter is then always 85V DC. But when igniting the igniter will make 22-25kV to turn on, then return to 85V.
So if you are planning on cutting and splicing and whatnot, DON'T touch the cable between the igniter and the socket! If you get a separate igniter the wires between the ballast and igniter is safe to play with.
I can add that the reason not to play with the igniter cable is that such high voltages as 25kV may travel through air and insulation of the wrong type. It can be compared to a thunderstorm when lightning hits the ground. That is electricity traveling through air because of the high voltage.

I found a more detailed picture, not sure if it's OK to post the link here

So seems like the original owner cut off the power connector (the two connectors at the bottom of the 2nd picture), the end connector seem to connect to the top right of the ballast? the red/black cable go to 12V DC somewhere?
