Pneumatic seat malfunction
The seats in my car are not functioning properly. After about 2 minutes, pneumatic seats deflate and I am told by my mechanic finding the leak can be a real pain and expensive.
The leak seems to make sense, but is this something I should let a mechanic do or is this something I can check myself? Everything else appears to work OK, but I did notice that no matter what setting I put on the seats, the passenger seat headrest keeps extending to the max setting.

You can
locate the leak yourself.lines to seat, inside of seat back and to the pump.
raymond g or mark cummins may have a line routing diagram.Easiest way and fastest would be with a smoke machine but you can use bubble soap to paint the tubes and locate the leak.

If the settings go ONLY to the max..I Would first test the seat control switch for the Multicontour feature...Otherwise start at the PSE pump and test all the lines/connections..Then the seat bladders with a Vac pump tester
BTW
The Multicontour feature will NOT work the seat headrest...ONLY the seat back and bottom have the air bladders

Turns out is was leaky o rings at the connections. The lumbar rings were replaced but that was all. The wings and leg extension still are not operational and I could not see or feel any of the leaks. A work in progress, thanks for your input.
P.S. where can I get a diagram of the hses in the seat?
