Black Roof, Yay or nay?
I just thought of an idea of making the roof black on my car. Its a great style but would it look good on my color and will it look good without changing my grille and headlights? any thoughts?

I say nay but that's me, because I think your car looks fine the way it is. Even though it "may" look good, the W210 never came with pano roofs anyway - if that's what you're trying to mimick. Maybe you can spend the $$ in other more desirable mods instead of blacking out the roof??

+1. instead of painting the roof, i would paint the black plastic piece at the bumpers and side skirts with the car's color before painting anything else. then if you still have money to throw away, i would lower the car.

hood...
This guy painted his hood to look like carbon fiber. I like it, and may someday paint mine the same...
I have a white car though, I'm not sure how a black hood will look on your light brown color....

Tape
some black visguen plastic on firs to step back and see what it looks like first.
Hard to go back when you start laying down the paint and decide it looks bad.

Im gonna have to agree with Tirona on this one. I used to have a 99 White E320. The first things I did with it were paint the bottom trim and lower it. Then I switched out the rear lights with the 2000+ lights.
Why on earth Benz made that bottom trim black on the pre-facelift models I have no idea. But it needs to be remedied. Also I can see you already did this, but for anyone who hasn't, you should definitely change out the OEM orange sidemarkers. It's like you have a really nice car to begin with, then you go and throw two spots of orange on a car, makes no sense, and only costs 20 bucks to fix (ebay).
