I have a e430 sport not lowered and not planning to but will 225/40/18 be a ok fit for the ride? I got the rims and tires for free and was just wondering will it be a good size or will i have to buy 235/40/18? the tires on the rims currently are still good like 95% thread life left.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
A fraction of an inch shorter,8rpm more per mile
well within error limits.The big caveat is that you don't mention offset nor bolt pattern or what model they came off of.All factors in fitment.
