Hissing noise and slow trunk latch operation
Yes I did a search before posting, but didnt see anything with the same symptoms as I have.
Normally when I unlock my car I can hear what sounds like an electrical solenoid from the rear of the car for about 2 seconds, then I hear the gas door unlock. Over the last week, I've noticed that the "solenoid" noise goes on for about 10 seconds now when I hit the unlock button. I just thought it was odd and didnt really think much of it. Now I've figured out that when I hit the unlock button and then hit the trunk button, the trunk will not open until that 10 second "solenoid" sound stops. The trunk used to open the second I'd hit the button.
And....just last night I hit the unlock button and immediately opened the driver's rear door and could hear a loud hissing noise that was coming from inside the door right around the latch. Once that 10 second "solenoid" noise stopped, so did the hissing.
So......do I have a vacuum leak inside the door? Possibly the lock mechanism?

PSE located by the battery

also a good idea to listen at it to hear if a line if leaking.
The PSE and the CCM control so many things on this model,it is a wonder that if you fart the headlights don't switch to high beam because the pse noted a pressure differential relayed that in to the CCM and it told the ECU![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
