depo light issue

Does anyone know how to get intouch with DEPO or the customer service department?? In an auto accident in which I was involved, I got the repair faucility to replace with DEPO clear projector on my 2001 e430 - received vehicle drove around for one day and noticed a haze/chrome not as shiney as the passenger side. (especially at night) MB mechanic at indy shop said it was manufacturing issue with headlight, repair shop said same thing. All agreed with the noticable diff.I got intouch with retailer the repair shop bought from, followed instructions to remove vent tubing, which I did. No change. Sent images to retailer as requested with obvious difference,(with night images also) gave me some grief- saying no diff. Finally got them to agree with replacement but they want the hazed lense first for exchange. Of course with the head light being damaged to begin with, the repair shop got rid of headlights. Also, with 2000 on you have to remove the bumper to replace headlight. The body shop was sorry for not noticing difference and has no problem with placing new light in but retailer will not send replacement until old one is returned, even though they have all information of the repair shop / Credit card #, etc. Anyone got suggestions or contacts??? And yes, I think this should be the repair shops responsibilities - - but you know how that goes!

They

are so cheap and of such low quality that you may never get them to match without buying a pair from the same lot.You running H7's in them?Have the body shop spring the 250 and get you a new set matched.

i'm somewhat inclined to agree with ohlord. Depo is cut rate, near bottom of
the barrel, aftermarket, automotive lighting and accessories manufacturer.
they're not known for a la carte parts, but more like quick sell of inexpensive
parts and assemblies.

you can writing to a distributor and see if they can help. http://maxzone.com/

i've not seen Depo outer/plastic lens sold as a replacement part. that would be
nice if it were available, given the weathering and beating the lens takes....
which is why many owners will put something like 3M protective, et al, cover
over it.

i'm not quite understanding what chrome piece is discolored....

Thanks for the contact, I will try.
The entire head light unit, including the inner small oval, looks old. The internal chrome surrounding the projector lens, and the entire head light. If you look at headlights, you can notice underneath the lenses, they usually have some detailed lines or design - probably of no function. Compared to the passenger lamp, bought at the same time- when the sunlight or anylight hits it, it does not have nearly the reflection or "clean" look and you cannot notice the detailed lines, as you can the other lamp. I was actually going to go with a more expensive brand or more comparative to OEM cost but read all over these forums of DEPO quality. Should have followed my instincts and still better than the cloudy OEMs I had on, it is just principle!
