I'm not aware of an E36AMG? You want to say a C36AMG?

 

i was about to say e36...am I in the wrong forum lol

 

as with any M104 look for leaks,don't over pay just because it is an AMG where you are parts will be hard to come by.For that one year only model.
inspect,inspect,inspect.Don't expect stellar fuel mileage.

it doesnt look like a w210 either and i thought they didnt make AMG E-Class cars before the w210? correct me if im wrong.

 

looks like a 124 chassis but it sure is a beaut! Wish we had em here! Those body E320 converti retains value here like no other.

 

a w210 along with the E50 and 55 and 60,nice to pick up an E60 amg wagon
they all looked like W210's

New Caledonia to get parts for his E class at the mb dealer in your city.
Have the transmission inspected,check the engine head for oil leaks and around the timing cover.How many Km?

 

The 124 AMG cars Were not exported to the states..
We did get the W124 500E E500 Mercedes/Porsche build hot rods

 

what i am saying was amg was not like a factory option back then right? I thought AMG were aftermarket tuners like brabus?

 

Mercedes aquired 51% 1999 they got majority ownership,the 1996 E36 the op is asking about is a w210 model with the stroked M104 pulls like a train sucks fuel down and in Australia if low Km is probably going to cost him an arm and a leg

It is 3.6L engine, little bit worried about fuel. But overall u guys thinking it is a good car?

 

 

have it professionally inspected and inspected twice if in doubt,look for rust,have the transmission tested for operation.Really consider the fuel issue.Are you sure it would not be wiser to pay the money you are for rarity and get newer and modify to suit your needs?

E320 1998-2002 will do 135 ,Mods are easy,drop,tint,rims.How fast do you want to go?
You need to weigh the condition issue and your ability to do the repairs yourself.Old school AMG mechanics are hard to come by and probably even harder in Bris

 

it has 115 000km on tacho with service books. It is good car but old and bad on fuel. And seems that auction ended up early, so seller gave up on sale or sold prior.
But anyways i think i'll be look for a nice CLK320 c208 if i find one resonably prices as most seller ask ridiculus amount. Wish was living in Germany.
or even C180 Kompressor, CL203 would be nice

no there is a w210 1996 AMG E36, i have one (50 or 100 made not sure)

 

they made w124 (E36)

 

take it from someone dat has got one, there a good car, good on fuel and plenty of power

 

how much do they want for it

 

stay away from w203, better with a w208

 

The E36 was very rare (much more so than the C36). The rarest of them was probably the SL36 but still the E36 is a very cool & rare car from a collectors standpoint

 

I have one of the rare E36T AMG cars, 1 of 19 without AMG bodykit.
