Help with wheel upgrade
A memeber has a set of AMG Aereo II's for sale in the classified section with the following specs.
Fronts are 18" x 8" with 31mm offset
Rears are 18" X 9" with 35mm offset
Mercedes PART # 1294010102 8JX18H2<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Mercedes PART # 2104010202 9JX18H2
He bought them for a 1986 S class ( W126)
From what I can gather in searchign the forums, the bolt pattern, offset and width is correct, but there may be an issue with the type of bolts or possibly hub bore as I have seen a few posts that indicate S class and E class wheels are not interchangeable.
Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide!

265 and 235's rear/front and you will fit nicely. Are you dropping the car?
How much for the rims?
I have a set of 07 SLK 350 rims brand new with new michelin pilots on them for a grand. So be sure you get a good deal if these rims are chipped rashed etc.

I will most likely lower it a bit with Eibachs. I have seen some posts about cutting the springs, but I have not had much success with that in the past. I will look at the spring terminations to see if it might be more feasible on thes cars. Got pics of your wheels and tires?

The rims are 17's look like 18's because of the design and will result in a better ride and performance than 18's.
