I still don't get it Why such a small tire when a 245-40-18 will fit with your offset and width? A 235 is a shoe in. So what is the draw to such a small tire. And yes it is still dangerous especially on corners for blow outs. Make sure the pressure is up there. Please explain....
I wish you many safe travels.

Why do it? Basically for looks, I like the way a european car looks with a big drop, wheel poke, and tire stretch. It's a style that I don't expect many MB drivers to admire or even like, actually I expect a lot of people here to hate it, and that is perfectly fine with me.
Europeans have been doing this for decades, this is nothing new, and mine is by no means anything drastic compared to many others I have seen. My tires are set at the correct pressure, and being a car guy I check things like tire pressure on a regular basis unlike the dozen or so (usually women) I see driving every day with under inflated tires that ARE the correct manufacturer size, now THAT is dangerous.
This setup may be rare on this forum, but check the BMW or VW forums and you will see tire stretch all day long.

I hear ya. E320's are all such sleepers anyway no cops really care here in so cal. I had the front windshield done in a clear uv and it keeps the car oh so cool, also help keep the dash from cracking. (anymore than it has already)

Did a little change up, got rid of the horrible 19's and switched them with 3-piece Brabus IV 18", still running H&R cup kit, now with #1 spring pads front and rear. I like it a lot better now. Not sure if car is still too high, but it is def not too low yet.
Please excuse the car itself, it is in pre-paint construction mode and far from being finished.

guys sorry to drag this up again, but I am running 18x8 and 18x10 wheels and want mine sitting like this.
mare are/were you the Sport Cup Kit? H&R website says lowers around 2"....
My car is the Avantgarde model so is already around an inch lower than the Classic/Elegance models.
I'm looking to drop another 1-1.5" at least...
So hard to find suspension for these here in Australia...

xflowgolf - To answer your question, the W210 has a heavy ride quality. Brabus calls it "Crashy". I have the Eibach Pro kit with Bilstein HD's and will attest. I often find myself tracking the road surface ahead to avoid pot holes.
Bottom line it sucks, but is to be expected of an older vehicle.
Dynamat can help. Lighter rims. larger side walls on the tires. a louder stereo to!
good luck

cut oem coils.
1 3/4 off the front and 2 1/4 coils off the rears.
stock shocks for now but will be replacing shocks with bilstein sports soon. #1 pads all around.
-in my sig-
(f)19x8.5 215/35/19 tires +25mm spacing
(r)19x9.5 235/35/19 tires +20mm spacing
...although i just picked up two 20x10 wheels for the rears and swapped my 19x9.5 wheels to the front. wrapped in 225/35/19 and 245/30/20 rubber. should have went with a 235 on either or of the tires. same spacing.

Yeah I have been thinking of cutting the OEM coils....
Still don't have the Klann tool to remove them though....
My W210 is the Avantgarde model so is 28mm lower than the Classic/Elegance models...
I would be cutting 1 coil to start with, see how it sits...
I want it sitting like BADwayz above.... *love*

you really don't need the Klann tool to remove the springs, for the rear you dont need a spring compressor at all.
I purchesed this spring compressor for $30 USD and it works great on the front, again, just a hydraulic jack under the rear control arm is enough, no spring compressor needed.
I just lowered my rear some more by cutting another half a coil off the H&R cup kit, and I lowered the SLS sysrtem all the way. Should have the front lowered maybe this weekend, havent gotten around to it yet.

Mate the wagon looks hot!
There is no way of cutting the front springs while they are still in is there?
Rears would be easy, though fronts have me buggered.
I have looked for a tool like that one you posted but can find nothing locally in Australia.
why oh why can't I get low.....
lol

I cut one coil on #3 pads up front and half a coil and #4 pads in the rear. I'm going to put #1 pads. I'm on 19s now and no rubbing

nice drop for yall but I am just confused about Bilstein's Shocks. Please educate me.
To the ones who have the "Sport" Shocks from Bilstein, could you tell me if they are the B4 lines? Why would the HD-Heavy Duty ones are B6 and I heard people are running OEM springs with it? I am just lost. I will probably contact Bilstein but would also want to hear from you guys.
Thanks.
