Interior temperature sensor Fan

Is there a DIY for replacement of that small fan that circulates the air to the interior temperature sensor located in the headliner near the windshield? Mine is making a lot of noise, especially when cold. I'm sooo tempted to give it a shot of CRC through the little louver but I know that ain't right.

The sensor is pretty

well built, the aspirator gets dirty.A shot of tuner cleaner or canned air with a cloth held under it will clean the fan.NTC B10/4 a lot of dust gets drawn there over 6-10 years.Don't go berserkwith the shot of spray.
A new one is 80 bucks.

Thanks - it's makes a very loud bad bearing type noise when the air temp goes below 25deg.

If I do have to end up replacing the fan is it a simple snap out and it replacement or do I need to tear out a lot of parts to get to the fan?

Ohlord,
Just wondering if you are back from your travels and if you were able to conjure up a DIY for the fan replacement.

thanks
