1997 E420 Starter

Has anyone replaced the starter on a 97 E420?
Does anyone have photo's of DIY repair... ?

Help, ..I've been driving a Toyota Highlander for the last week- quite a sin indeed...

Update...

Ok, I let the car sit for one week, and the problem has completely gone away.

I'm thinking that the cold san diego weather we had occured at the same time, it was nearly 41 degress a few nights in a row, and my car is sometimes parked outiside...

Still not error codes; I drove the car tonight. I'll make sure I have my cell phone with me when I drive it... Quite a mystery indeed...

I think you posted in another thread.

I am sorry to say that it will come back. Typical symptoms of a weak (intermittent) starter, which should not trig a light (error code).
