The coming model is only somewhat larger than its predecessor: The length adds 12 mm, width 32 mm (on 1,85 m). Three equipment packages (AMG Sport, Elegance, Avant-garde) stress outwardly and in the interior the agile or the luxurious side of the 4.87 m are enough for this sedan.
Entrance engine will become a 136-PS- diesel (starting from approximately 39,000 euro), beyond that (Four cyl gas ???)with 170 HP, 204 HP, 211 HP and 231 HP to be available.
The new model would (come?) in five different (Variations??) starting in March with the dealers. As well as a six cylinder variant with 272 HP or 292 HP and the Top model E 500 with 388 HP. One can buy an (execution??) with 182 HP and/or 204 HP (four-cylinders) then.
At the earliest 2010 will follow with a hybrid engine as well as a sporty AMG model with up to 550 HP.
The noticing the error lines up thereby into those ever longer becoming list of the communication breakdowns with automakers (WHO KNOWS?). Last victims were Opel and Audi. With BMW the photos of the current three-series were already published months before the official premiere on the inter-net.

Ugly is not a strong enough word for what they are doing to the E-Class. I guess I will not be upgrading to a new one.
I was never a big fan of the W211, but it sure beats the looks of the new one.
