My Sirius install...Pics
I installed Sirius in my car back in Dec of 07 but never took any pics. I got a new camera for Christmas so I decided to try it out today. I'm still learning so the pics are not the greatest and of course the car is wet and dirty. Also I didn't feel like ripping the whole dash apart again just to take pics. I tapped into the lighter for power and I ran the antenna wire out thru the fuse box on the drivers side of the engine compartment.
I decided to use the cassette adapter method to wire it to my head unit since I normally only listen to Howard 100 and sound quality is not super important to me. As it turns out it sounds better then I thought it would. The trick is to run the wire out the back of the stock head unit as you can see in the following pics. The top of the head unit just pops off easily.
Cassette adapter installed and cord routed out the back
Cover back on with cord sticking out the back
I decided to mount the Sirius in the ashtray. The Sirius Sportster 5 would fit perfectly in the ashtray if not for that damn docking station. Since the docking station is a necessary part I decided to dremel the ashtray to make it fit.
Hacked on ashtray
As you can see the receiver now fits like a glove.
Here are some pics of it installed
Man this last one looks dirty
And in stealth mode
I didn't want the antenna to be an eyesore so I hid it under the plastic windshield cowling. I had a closeup pic looking thru the slots of the cowling showing the antenna but for some reason it won't upload. I'll get another close up in a day or two.
Antenna is here
For about 1 hour a day when I'm heading due east the signal cuts out but the rest of the time the antenna functions quite well in its stealth position.
Any questions feel free to ask.

I know this is an old thread and I hope you're still around. Did you have to modify the Sirius cradle to make it fit? I modified the ash tray, but the door will not close. My guess is you did, but wanted to see what your procedure was before I start the Dremel back up!

If you are still having problems let me know and I can pull out my Sirius and get a better look if needed.
