Radio Display & Guage Cluster

I know I don't own a 210 but my friend recently purchased a 2000 E320 4matic. The display on the radio is malfunctioning as are the temp and clock on the guage cluster. What do you experts recommend? I know the S-class received an extended warranty on the instrument cluster anything for e class clusters?

2001 E320 RWD - Brilliant Silver/Ash: 100,000+
I was unaware that the S-Class had problems with and/or an extended warranty for this issue. What I can tell you is that I bought a pre-owned E-Class MB as a CPO and after that expired bought an aftermarket warranty that paid to replace my cluster with a $1300 new unit. The fix referred to previously is a band-aid at best, but I guess it's worth a shot. Several companies will refurbish clusters for $300-$500, depending.
