Lamp defective from parking light but bulb ok

I have a "Lamp defective" problem caused by my passenger-side parking lamp, the ones that go on before the headlights. The bulb is good; I switched bulbs and the passenger side still doesn't work. The connector seems fine (no burns or visible corrosion), but is possibly intermittent because I think the lamp may have come once while I was fiddling. Any ideas where I should next? More on the connector? Other local points to check?

Thanks,
knightway

The fittings of those 6Watt parking lights often crack. You can replace them with a universal fitting if you're not afraid of snipping wires and using some 'AMP' crimp-on connectors...

Lamp Defective.

I used to get this indication for the rear break light. My mechanic checked the bulb and found it be ok. He then checked the metal holder which holds the bulb casing and found it loosing connectivity and fixed it by shimming it slightly. It works great now.

Good luck.
