E300 TD Avantgarde
HELP AND HI!!!!!!
Guys Im new to this site and and have recently bought a gorgeous E300 TD Avantgarde but I have a problem and need advice hope you guys can help. Basically lent the car to my GF who was out had music up and parked her at the beach.Whilst in pak she lent across to get her smokes unbeknownst to her she had te throttle full in she told me about this and after much swearing I checked the car out. There is no burst of power from the turbo and the engine seems to compensate for this by revving higher on acceleration.took it to a mate who thought It may be a sensor Have you all heard of this before, what is the sensor,is the turbo blown please help

Hi and welcome to the forums ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
If you really have a 300TD, you have a wagon with a 3liter diesel without turbo
The correct term will be 300DT for a sedan and 300TDT for a wagon![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
If the car goes into limp mode the turbo will not charge at all. A faulty value from a sensor will make the engine go into limp mode. The most common is the MAF I think. Mass AirFlow sensor. It measures how much air the engine gets.
The easiest way to figure this out is to take the car to a workshop who can read out fault codes. The dealer should do this for a reasonable price, and you will get a very good explanation for all codes.
Please don't blame your girlfriend, it's probably not her fault, and I really believe she feels bad about it. Give her a hug and tell her it's OK
