Help please- trying to change rear bumper molding 98 E430
Hello,
I have a 98 E430 with parktronics. The molding the parktronics sensor is on was dinged by another car. I want to change that molding strip. Ive found the part http://www.carbodyparts.net/mercedes...0-bumpers.html
Has anyone changed out this molding? Was it difficult, what bolts/ fastners am I looking for?
Anyone have a recommendation for a big MB parts recycler, maybe I can find one thats already painted in my car´s color.
Thanks in advance,
CMFIC

i changed mine a little over a year ago, i thing it cost me around $100 but i don't have parktronic. i took it to a paint shop on thursday, they got the color code and pigment with their machine, paid $80 i think and picked it up on monday. i took out the old one and put the new one myself. it was fairly eashy, but be very careful. if you are not comfortable getting the old molding out yourself, then have a body shop do it.
check junk yards, they might have a parktronic one with your color. www.car-part.com

Need to be careful with the Parktronic sensors and the wiring. They are costly to replace if damaged.
