Improperly torqued or years of driving vibration would cause plugs to be a little loose. Oil will find it way up there from the cylinder. Nothing to be concerned about, just make sure you torque the new plugs properly.

Have you checked for oil consumption? If your car is burning oil it could be a broken ring or valve seal. But only if you are consuming oil. MB motors will consume some but certainly not more than 1 quart per oil change. Plugs in normal condition should be dry and the electrode clean from any deposit. If there are deposits on or near the electrode you are consuming oil and should have the motor checked. W124s would average a quart every 3-4000 miles.

may have torqued them improperly in the past.What year E320?
Clean the threads and install and torque the plugs properly.
There is only 1 way for oil to migrate up the threads and that would be a loose under torqued plug.
Do it correctly and it won't be an issue

you tq'd them properly,just leave them to a happy life.No need to check them.No misfires,no p0300 codes,no oil consumption ,No problems
