facelift outside mirror
i need your help. I'm not familiar how to release the plastic mirror cover from
the mirror framework. on my 99, it was easy as pie: tweak retaining wire as
depicted in the MB video. with the 00, they have a slightly different mecha-
nism. don't want to break anything. your experience is appreciated.

If you are trying to remove just the glass it is easy on post face lift models if that is what you are asking. The top of the mirror pops out first the lift out the bottom and disconnect the leads on the back. Reverse for replacing with new. Once the mirror is out you can see the attachment points better.Hope that helps.
