Wrench exceeded by 730 Days.
37,000 miles.
I bought this car from a snow bird in Palm Beach Florida. When I start it, I get a picture of a wrench and the text "exceeded by 730 days".
When should I change the spark plugs, air, and fuel filter on a e320? The reason why I'm asking is because it took the car 3 times to start this morning; on the first and second try, it started but only stayed on for 3 seconds, finally on the 3rd start, it started successfully. What is that an indication of? FYI, I see no engine light. Also, the 'LAMP DEFECTIVE' light comes on every now and then. I checked all the bulbs in the car (including the tail light and the vanity mirrors), they seemed to be working, any clue on my issues?
usaims
either they had it serviced and never reset the light, or never had it serviced!
is it service A wrench or service b wrench?
the lamp defective is very sensitive even if the bulb is working but is putting out a little less light the lamp defective will go off, but it could be something u overlooked, check the front bumper, license plate lights, puddle lights....etc
Then I'd change spark plugs and every fluid and filter in the car, including brake fluid, transmission, rear differential, PS fluid etc.
And I'd also replace all the hoses, thermostat, serpentine belt, and cabin air filters.
But, that's just me...
Amdeutsch told me to re-read the first post to get my answer. I'm assuming the first post of this thread? Are you implying a tune up for the starting issue?

Kidding
When my Service B indicator came on recently it went from "Service due now" to "Service 100 miles overdue" (or something like that) and went up at 100 mile increments until I did the maintenance and reset the FSS.
So now I have in my mind that if our W210's service is overdue and we don’t drive them, they will start counting the days overdue instead of the miles?
Is that true?

and then the engine falls out.
