noise when turning

When I turn to the left more so than when I turn right. Altough the right does do it once in a while. I hear a bumping noise. It seems to happed more with tight turns, such as u-turns then just a more "straight" normal left turn. What could this noise be? It's a 98 e320

If it runs I'll drive it
what the other two said... get it check and see if it needs anything else. Check the CV joints. See if the surrounding areas needs attention. GOOD LUCK!

I think it is the ball joints. The CV joint would have more of a tick, tick, tick sound rather than a bumping sound. Thats just my guess.

is it bad to keep driving it like this? I don't have the money right now to get it fixed unless it will be absolutely necessary.

Check ball joints, inner and outer tie rods ends, sway bar bushings and links; and the spring perch. Its spot welded sheet metal (the top perch) which can rust and break off.

W210's are also hard on LCA bushings but they don't usually make noise in my expirience; just cause wandering at higher speeds.
