anyone with c type grille on 00-02 e-class? pictures please
I got an 00 e55 and am looking to upgrade to a newer c type grille
my car is silver and i dont know if black with chrome or silver with chrome would look better and there is different designs so its confusing
please post some pictures if you guys have of new grille on silver e class

The left one is the best in my opinion as that's a real CL-style grill. The one on the right is just a regular Avantgarde style grill with a star.

However, both look wrong on a 210.

But I would really like to see a CL style grill without the star. That may look kicking!

Also, do not, DO NOT put black headlights on a silver car. it's plain ugly. Chrome projector headlights look very good though

how about grill on the left but black with chrome?

I don't know.. probably not any better. a picture would help though. But the large grill star doesn't belong on a 210 anyways..

yea im not a big fan of the huge star but there is not much options on aftermarket grills and I do think cl type grill even with the big star looks better than original

i had one of those cl style grills on......for about a week and took it off. i painted the chrome strips black, but that big star just doesn't look right to me.

Yeah, I don't like either.
I have a black 96 E-320 and I have been considering a change of grill. After seeing those examples I am now thinking "No Way!". Actually since my car is black, I was considering blacking out the grill rims and windows (yet legal). The car already has a slight drop.
Sorta like a post (and I don't remember where I saw it) from a German fellow, with great pix of his 210.

The one on the left is quits obnoxious, and the one on the right, less so but still bad. I honestly thought I would like the star, but not after seeing these 2 examples.

Sorry. Don't like it.

Those grilles look UGLY. It just does not fit the car.

......here you go, I had the silver one and have since painted it out black-left the star chome, but have since blacked it out completely (sorry no pics of it all blacked out) I'm sick of it though, thinking of going back to my OEM grill, blacked out though...also wrapped roof in gloss black vinyl

ugly or not, i have one which is NIB, for 00-02 which is available for $25 if
you pick up shipping. my brother ordered it for his E320 but opted not to
install it after he rec'd it. he's now parked in Kabul and I'm left here to
clean up his pile of MB stuff. c'mon....you know you want it, even though
you don't dare post publically that you do. PM me. Help me clean house.

(i see from the invoice that it was a German vendor, but not MB item)
