Door control module issue...issues then issue

I have a bit of a conundrum.. My drivers side door stopped working (Seat controls, mirror, window...etc) I brought it to the dealer, they replaced the DCM. A few days later both the drivers side and passenger side doors stopped working. I though "okay, this is strange". Dealer changed the Passenger side DCM. (Now I'm over $1,000 into this.) NEXT DAY the drivers side door stopped working again. THey have disconnected it and found that it will return to normal operation for awhile, then it will stop. They disconnect/reconnect and it will work again for a few hours/days then have to disconnect/reconnect again.

Any ideas. I know there are a lot of smart people on this forum and I am counting on you all. The dealership seems to have no idea.

It is a 1999 E320 sedan, the only add ons are the ARGOS bluetooth and a 2nd power outlet in the armrest.
Thank you in advance.

Battery going bad? I've heard about all kinds of weird electrical/canbus related issues while the car cranks normally...

I will mention that to them tomorrow. They have had the car now for three days.

Any other suggestions?

man you got hosed.

The DCM is only about $150, and replacement takes literally 25 minutes.

Unless they did extreme diagnosing, you are being bent over.

Yeah

I definitely feel bent over...they still have the car - I do have a loaner (a 2009 E200 4matic) It's nice but I want my car back...fixed.
