Before spring really gets here,or finally gets here
Please run your air conditioning,on low,check how it pulls down,check side to side temps,run the onboard diagnostics
How to Diagnose Air Conditioning Malfunctions

record the numbers and errors,hit the clear button and erase multiple errors,that by themselves can cause system malfunction.
Do it before warm weather,especially if you have not ran the a/c like you should at least once a month through winter to keep its seals lubricated.
Doing this now will avoid you having to stand in line on the forum when warm weather hits and everyone with a dead or leaking a/c or bad evap sensor,etc. starts chiming in.Avoid the long lines.

Automatically
when set to below ambient air temp.Or manually just turn the dual temp down to low.If the air coming out the side vents is ice cold and the red ec light is not on.You know it is running.Then follow the a/c diagnostic link above if you have the digital dual climate control display.

Ohlord, I ran both tests and got a code that didn't make sense to me. Is there a procedure for clearing the codes and starting over? The code I got (1419) indicated a compressor failure, but everything seems to be running fine.

Clear error
codes while in error reading mode by pressing both auto buttons at the same time.Then you can see what comes back.
