Facelift interior in pre-facelift
Will an interior (seats, door panels and armrest) from a facelift 210 wagon fit in a pre-facelift 210 wagon?
A guy with a 97 model may be interested in my old 01 model interior.

illest may have just picked up a 2x4 and whacked me upside the head. well, we'll wait to see what Wanda/Steve says.
doc has been prescribing new heart meds but it's making me woozy more
than i like. dosage cut in half so hopefully i'll not post stoopid advice
the rear seats for S and W are different but besides that you can swap around whatever you want to swap around...and you can even install the MF steering wheel with IC in a pre modelupdated 210 without too much hassle.
greetingz,
here are facelift seats from E55 stuffed into my 99 E320
(aplogies to semi for giving him whiplash)

I'm looking for advice regarding my 1996 W210 E320 Petrol, I would like to know what is required as part of a strip and fit process to enable and facilitate heated memory seats, rear blind and automatic boot from a 1998 E300 Turbo Diesel.
Any guidance is sincerely appreciated please.
Thanking you,
Ravinder
Memory/heated seats require new console trim, locate heater button, electrical wiring to fit the heated seats (if not already on your car)
Rear blind is an electric, I believe. I dont have experience with that
The boot/trunk remote open is air operated. The pump is the 'pneumatic systems equipment' pump which fits under the rear seat.
Mercedes systems computer must be docked with your car via the round electric communications port in the engine bay and set
for it to recognize this feature. Piping will need to be routed from the pump into the trunk and it is possible a new, latch system
will need to be fitted in order to operate via the air system.
Not having done any of these projects, I'm not a good person to assist other than in a very general fashion. Additionally, it is
possible that since you have a first year w210 model, it may or may not be possible. There may be model specific differences
which make these modifications more challenging.
wishing you success

Thank you for your prompt reply. I have decided to keep my early pre-facelift W210 as original, and just enjoy it for what it it.
I have since purchased a facelift W210 Year 2000 E320, without heated memory seats.
As per the Pdf file to retrofit the rear blind, are you aware of a similar document available to retro fit heated memory seats.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Very best wishes,

trickier and will need someone with a little more insight as to whether the w210 harness to the front seats
already come with the wiring (but unconnected). With some features, this is the case and it would be a
relatively easy modification, for example, adding CD player, adding rear window blind, adding analog
cellular phone. I believe the existing wiring is already in place when the w210 left the factory.
What I don't know is whether front seat heater wiring is already there...making it less difficult, though you
would still face the challenge of wiring in the console switch, finding the console wood paneling, locating
the seats, etc. Those are important questions for the owner wishing to add heated seats.
Separately, I only had standard heated seats but wanted the MB seats with air bladder pillows. That
required replumbing with additional air hoses, air control switch module and car system reprogramming
to introduce the PSE pump to the control/feature. So this is one example of knowing what is in the car
or what is needed.
The folks who specialized in this haven't been around MBWorld in some time (SteveNL and Sunil). They
were EXPERTS in retrofitting MB with MB parts. If anyone knows of another brain or resource out there
let us know and we'll see if we can put folks in touch with them through this forum.

The vehicle that I am now upgrading is a year 2000 facelift E320 Elegance which currently has grey cloth interior with semi electric seats.
I also have the donor Car which is a 1998 E300 TurboDiesel with heated memory seats and rear blind.
If there is any guidance available regarding the installation of heated memory seats, and the associated modification to the ECU's in order to function as required that would be sincerely appreciated.
Thanking you.
Yours sincerely,
Ravinder
Did you manage to solve it?
I’m in a similar situation where I wish to put my full memory leather interior from a pre-facelift in my facelifted E320cdi.
thanks,
