hissing sound

1989 E200
hissing sound
Mine is a 1989 E200. can anyone tell me why there is a hissing sound coming from the rear of the car near the petrol pumping part. Usually the hissing starts when i press the remote. Then when i turn off the engine the hissing sound starts and i can't press the remote to lock the door until the hissing stops? Pls help

indicates you are not in the correct section. Is your car a 1999?
If so then look by the battery you will see a unit with vacuum lines and wires running to and from it. It controls almost all int. functions from lights to windows to doors to alarm. It is called the PSE. Pneumatic system. Find the leak, You found you hiss, You solved the remote locking problem.
