hey I always thought that boosting a car headunit was possible .. just never seen some one actually do and say it.. I think my one is factory boosted ..... it sounds super loud for 40W as it claims and the bass is off the chart ... at first I thought it was the speakers but no it must be something about the headunit ... the only problem is its a stone age tapedeck arrgh

How did you go about boosting it?? wouldnt mind trying to upgrade a lesser sounding CD one with the monster internals of the blaupunkt and do my bit for the enviroment.

Transistor to boost voltage to a steady

14.4 volts and wide error margin resistor to regulate the circuit. Makes a big difference if willing to go into the guts of the radio. Would not advise it unless you have great to good soldering skills and the proper heat sinks to avoid frying circuits.

Who uses tapes anymore
