1999 e320 wont start after dead battery

I drove home and parked the car in the center of driveway w/ rear windows down, put key in ignition turned on to raise windows, but left key in on position. The next morning battery was dead. The battery was fairly new so I returned it and got a new one, after the install car would not start. I thought the starter solenoid was bad so I replaced the starter and solenoid (which was not needed). When I put key and try to start, it makes 1 bump, I crossed solenoid with wrench and starter turns over, but no start. I have checked all fuses(under hood, under seat and drivers side dash) Does anyone have any ideas?

Yes

suggestion is you never short a das equipped car like the Mercedes Benz. You may have just fried the system. A trip to a shop or a member that has an sds diagnostic to see what got cooked.
Screw drivers across starter or solenoid terminals is for 1950 Fords not 1999 Mercedes Benz. You may have toasted the drive authorization system at worst or cooked a relay.
Sorry

any indie

shop with sds mercedes star diagnostics.
It pains me to send you there but it may be best if something is cooked.
You could try a battery disconnect(key out please) and let it sit a few minutes, step on the brake pedal to remove any residule charge, and then key out still rehook the battery and sync all systems. IE windows and turn the steering wheel all the way left to right and back a few times to center the steering wheel angle sensor. See if that wakes up the sleeping das system.

I bought a code reader today at autozone, plugged it in, the readout went haywire, which means I have computer problem. But still that was not my original problem. I Guess tomarrow I will have it towed to the dealer.

Do the above test

first. And make sure the new battery is charged fully and connected properly.
Before you give in

OK, I did as you said, the computer awoke. I install the code reader, and it read no codes. which I did not think it would, but i was told that if it was the computer fried it would not read. Any other tries about original problem. I checked the ground to battery, good connection to battery and frame. I checked positive at battery, good connection, traced it through passenger floorboard to starter, good connection. As i had said before starter turns over by crossing w/ wrench (which I will not do anymore) except on 1950 FORD, HA HA. I left out I rechecked the battery read good, recharged on slow charge overnight to be sure.

SO WHATS NEXT? Thanks for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

Check

the fuses look for any labeled das circuit see if you have a blown circuit.Test with multi meter fuse pulled so no power in circuit. Those fuses are not always dependable just looking to see if they have split.
After that a trip to an SDS i'm afraid. Call around you need not go to the dealer if an indie mb shop has one.

I found a shop in town that will run test for $45. and $60 for the tow. I know this is going to sound like a 1950 ford question, but Can my e320 be pulled with chain myself its only about 2 miles.
