Brake switch replaced. Now lights going haywire?

I changed my brake switch yesterday. And that fixed my ABS lights.
But, now when I exit the car and hit the lock button, my locks do lock, but my exterior lights no longer flash. They do flash when I unlock it, but not when I lock it.
Also, the rear interior light comes on and stays on after I get in the car and start it. If I hit the button on the roof for that light, it will turn off. But, when I exit the car and lock it, the rear interior light stays on for about 1/2 hour!
HELP!
Ray has a diy I think in the electrical section diy on benzworld.
The door thinks it is not closed.
Sounds like you have some issues with the systems, first door actuators and now lights.

Edit: I just answered my own question! Thanks Ohlord. In order to take off the doorpanel I needed to take out the screw and plastic piece around the striker on the door. This is what pushes in the door pin to shut off the lights! So, can I just screw that plastic piece back onto the door without the doorpanel on there? I dont want to put the panel back on because I'm gonna have to take it back off once my new regulator shows up.
