You'll also find the courtesy light under the door is also not working.

I've had the same problem with both sides in the front when the car sits for a few days. In my car, I found separate fuses govern each side's front elecricals (one in the front box and one under the backseat). When these fuses are pulled out and immediately replaced, the power functions come back...but I'll have to do it all over again after the car sits for a few days

Thanks Whitey. Do you have any idea what triggers this issue? I have checked and pulled the front fuse but not the one in the rear...the front 40m amp fuse was ok

To be honest, not sure but I am not experienced with auto-electronics. I have been told my loom (I think that's what its called) is on the way out but I suspect there maybe a leak/short somewhere from the mods I'd made......... Interesting to note both yours and mine are 98 models...

Its almost starting to seem when I leave my car parked in the sun while I'm at work, the sunroof doesnt want to open. But after it has sat in the cool garage for a while it is fine.

The CAN that communicates with DCM are both faulty.
Pull your codes and see if either or both needs to be replaced.
