Original cell phone
What cell phone came with the E320? I have a W210 99 and it has the connection inside the armrest, I would like to know is there anyway of upgrading the current system with out alot of change. Has anyone done so ?
This guy did it sort of but obviously upgraded everything. I would like to still use all the factory components,but would like to install some kind of kit letting me use the factory radio option still.

In a nutshell, the system is old and analog. It will no longer work with any US cell phone companies. You need to convert to the digital system. I think the unit alone is $800 from the dealer, so this is pretty expensive. There are also bluetooth pucks (~$400) you can get which allow you to use any phone (rather than a specific phone). I'm pretty sure you still need to convert the system to digital, even with a bluetooth puck.
