2001 E320 MP3 CDs?

I have a 2001 E320. Have the Audio 30 HeadUnit with CD changer in the trunk. Bose system.
Would like to, in the least expesive way, change or upgrade the system so I can have it play MP3 CD's. Don't have an IPOD but if it were cheaper to upgrade/hack the system using an IPOD I'd be interested in that as well.
Any thoughts welcome. Thx.

I don't think there's any plug-in OEM solution that will play MP3 cds (i.e. allow you to have more than 20 songs per disc).

Cheapest option is an aftermarket radio. You'll loose steering wheel controls, unless you install additional hardware for that.

Next option is iPod integration with the stock system. There's the Dension iPod adapter which works with iPods or USB drives. If you don't have an iPod, you can buy a cheap USB drive which will hold a lot more than a CD anyway.

Could you provide more details about this Dension iPod adapter thing?
Is this the product you're talking about?
